Hey, I’m Roland Hurtado-Netzer (legally!)! I’m an actor going on his twelfth year of performing. I do it because I love it, and I love it because I do it. I was born in Texas, raised in Missouri, crammed in a tiny New York apartment for three years getting my MFA (the American Dream), and now back home in sunny Springfield MO. 

Beyond performance, I spend my time teaching introductory acting classes at Missouri State, writing, directing, and developing passion projects; such as my flagship YouTube channel Roland Speak: A review/commentary show where I take deep dives into media from my childhood, my more experimental YouTube Channel, or  Deconstructing the Polar Express: A self-written three-man show dissecting the tradition of Christmas Films. 

I recently had the tremendous honor of marrying my wonderful wife, Raisa, hence the new legal hyphenation. When I’m not busy performing, you can usually find me gazing affectionately into her eyes. Yes you should be jealous, I got the best wife. All others pale in comparison.
